JewishCharlotte Emergency Grant Information

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The JewishCharlotte Emergency Response Fund seeks to provide emergency grants and financial assistance to greater Charlotte Jewish agencies and synagogues for needs specifically related to COVID-19 and that meet the following priorities:
• Emergency financial relief for individuals and families in need
• Transitional operating support to enable local Jewish agencies to support their operations, sustain their workforce, and deliver critical services

GRANT CRITERIA AND ELIGIBILITY

• Jewish organizations and synagogues in the JFGC catchment area currently receiving or eligible to receive annual Federation funding are eligible to apply for a JewishCharlotte Emergency Grant

• Emergency grants are restricted to needs specifically related to/resulting from COVID-19 and are limited to no more than a two-month grant term

• Applications will only be accepted from 501(c)3 organizations (or their fiscal agent)

GRANT APPLICATION

• JewishCharlotte Emergency Grant applications may be submitted at any time during the grant process, with application deadlines by 3:00pm on April 17; April 30; May 14; and May 28

• Completed applications and all supplemental information must be submitted electronically to EmergencyResponse@jewishcharlotte.org

• The JewishCharlotte Emergency Grants Committee will convene bi-weekly, with anticipated grant notifications scheduled on or around: April 22; May 6; May 20; and June 3
